Runway Market Pattaya and The View Ferris Wheel
One house row north of Soi 6, a lane between Beach Road and Second Road ends in Pattaya's newest landmark: Runway The Market, a night market with a retired jumbo jet above its tents, and The View, a Ferris wheel over 100 metres tall that opened at the end of November 2025. We walked the lane for our game on 19 September 2026; this is what is there and how to find it.

What you find along the lane
We walked it from Beach Road to Second Road on 19 September 2026 between 18:55 and 19:02. In that order:
- The Beach Road corner: a Ramazan Döner kebab stand on artificial turf under a green corner house carrying “The View” billboard, string lights zig-zagging across the lane.
- Cafés and old shophouses on the south side – an ice-cream parlour with a giant cone, Umber Coffee, a shabu restaurant, a cannabis shop – and on the north side Cai Gong Tang, a round white glass restaurant, and the Selection Hotel.
- An LED tunnel of turquoise arches with a karaoke and nightclub sign on its gantry.
- The Runway pavilion, a yellow-edged glass hall with the RUNWAY PATTAYA sign, and a green party bus parked by the market fence.
- The night market: THE VIEW food court, souvenir and clothes tents, Pad Thai stalls and toilets, the tail and fuselage of the jumbo jet above the tents, and the Ferris wheel behind them.
- The red Runway building at the Second Road end, four storeys lit red with an open steel staircase.
How to get there
- From Soi 6: walk to the Second Road end and turn left (north); the lane with the red building opens about 45 m further up Second Road. From the Beach Road end of Soi 6 walk north along Beach Road to the Döner corner and follow the string lights inland.
- By baht bus: on Second Road the buses run north – get off at Soi 6 or at the red Runway building. On Beach Road they run south – get off at the Beach Road end of the lane. Fares and how to stop the bus: our baht bus guide.
- On foot from the big malls: Terminal 21 and Central Pattaya are each about 1 km away in a straight line (OpenStreetMap).
The market and the wheel are for everyone; the lane runs one house row from Soi 6, a bar street for adults, so expect the neon of the bars at the Second Road end.
